Resolving Unfused or Partially Fused (Ink Not Sticking) Prints

Please perform the following troubleshooting steps in order.

  1. The Printer's operating environment must be normal. room operating temperature is 5-35 degrees C (41-95 degrees F) and 15-85% relative humidity. Move the printer to a suitable area away from air conditioning vents, open loading docks, etc.
  2. Heavy or unusual paper stock may be in the tray. Replace that paper with approved media.
  3. The paper stock may be damp or damaged. Replace the paper stock.
  4. Open the rear cover and inspect the fuser. Ensure both green tension adjustment levers (21.9 KB) are rotated downward.
  5. Fuser configuration may not be setup for the paper type that is used. Make sure that the fuser temperature is set correctly for that paper type.
  6. The fuser may be at the end of it's life or defective. Replace the fuser.

Note    Note: The fuser is part of the maintenance kit.
